Do’s and Don’ts inside Jim Corbett National Park

Things you should do inside Corbett National Park:

  • Entry permission is required for every visitor at Jim Corbett National Park. So please do take proper permission from the administrative office before entering.
  • It is important also to appoint a registered and expert naturalist or tour guide before entering to explore the wilderness. The tour guide will be able to help you in spotting the animals and also will ensure you are on the right track and not losing the path amidst the woods.
  • All the visitors are required to carry a litter bag to put the non - biodegradable trashes like metal foils, plastic bottles, cans etc.
  • Maintain a safe distance from the wild animals, respect their natural habitat and follow the jungle rules.
  • Also, try to avoid wearing bright and vivid colored clothes as those might scare the wild beauties. Please wear dull colored or khaki or olive colored clothes which easily blend with the color of nature.

Don’ts inside Corbett National Park:

  • Do not smoke or light any kind of fire. Not only fire will scare the animals away but also it might cause firebreak outs inside the beautiful forest.
  • Do not listen to loud music while exploring the wilderness rather soak yourself into the music of the rustling leaves and bird songs.
  • Do not carry any kind of pistols, guns or any firearms.
  • Do not get down from the vehicle during your jungle safari tour.
  • Drinking alcohol and eating non-vegetarian food inside the park is highly prohibited.
  • If you clicking photos make sure you are not using the flashlight at all. It is harmful to wild animals.
  • Do not even try to feed the animals.
  • Do not request your jeep or canter driver to drive off track as it will not only be risky for you but also it will harm the forest decorum.
Note: You are governed by the rules and regulation of the Wildlife Protection Act inside Corbett Tiger Reserve so follow all.
